(More customer reviews)The Hollanders translation is akin to the restoration of the Sistine Chapel ceiling and altar for english speaking lovers of Dante not yet able to read his works in italian. A work of tremendous beauty has been made available - this after generations of only being able to experience a forbidding, darker version of the original.
This scholar/poet team has given us a wonderful gift. Thank you Robert and Jean Hollander.
